Ana Amodaj graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law ("Boalt Hall") in 2014, where she earned both a J.D. and a Business Law Certificate, and served as the Symposium Editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal. Ms. Amodaj graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with bachelor’s degrees in Management Science, Political Science, and Psychology in 2011.
While in law school, Ms. Amodaj wrote articles for the Berkeley Center for Business, Law and the Economy, edited articles for the Business Law Journal, and organized four symposia on a variety of topics in business law. She competed extensively in mock trial and negotiation competitions, including the esteemed Pircher, Nichols & Meeks Joint Venture Challenge where she performed the role of a lead advisor for a hypothetical private equity fund considering several investment options. Ms. Amodaj also became certified by the IRS and provided free tax filing services to underprivileged and disabled individuals as part of the Berkeley Tax Law Clinic, and has spent a summer as an intern for Community Lawyers helping to expand access to justice for the underserved.
Ms. Amodaj has worked on a variety of complex litigation matters, and has experience with all stages of the litigation process. She has drafted superior and administrative court pleadings, as well as numerous contracts and corporate documents.
Ms. Amodaj has extensive experience advising early to mid-stage startups both in the United States and abroad, and has handled drafting, negotiating, and closing licensing deals with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
