Janine Cohen graduated from Yale Law School in 1999 where she served as the Managing Editor and Business Manager of the Yale Law & Policy Review. Ms. Cohen completed her undergraduate degree in 1995 at Rutgers University where she graduated with High Honors.
Ms. Cohen began her legal career at O’Melveny & Myers, LLP and then spent seven years at Levy, Small & Lallas, LLP where she handled a diverse set of litigation matters which included obtaining dismissal of class action suits in three states brought against an internet dating service provider.
Prior to joining Gerard Fox Law, Ms. Cohen spent nine years at David M. Bass & Associates, Inc. where she handled a diverse set of litigation matters including employment, professional negligence, identity theft and shareholder disputes. Ms. Cohen participated in a jury trial in Federal Court defending fraudulent conveyance and RICO claims in which a verdict was obtained in favor of all defendants on all claims. Ms. Cohen also participated in a bench trial in a complex commercial tenancy dispute, obtaining a favorable verdict on all causes of action and an $800,000 attorney fee award.
Ms. Cohen is an attorney member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
