Jonathan Link has extensive litigation experience representing both patentees and defendants in district court litigation and before the International Trade Commission. He provides strategic counseling on intellectual property issues and often represents clients before the US Patent Trial and Appeals Board, including in inter partes review proceedings. Jonathan has represented several Fortune 100 companies, as well as numerous small businesses, in federal court, state court, the ITC and the USPTO. He is recognized as one of "The World's Leading Patent Practitioners" for litigation and ITC litigation by Intellectual Asset Management 2017.
Jonathan is also a registered patent attorney with a wide experience in obtaining and monetizing patent assets for clients. In this, Jonathan counsels clients with regard to: the development of strategic patent portfolios through patent procurement (prosecution); non-infringement, invalidity and product-clearance options; due diligence investigations, including for mergers and acquisitions; development of patent and other intellectual property enforcement programs; and licensing transactions and negotiations. Jonathan started his career as an examiner at the USPTO.
Jonathan's experience spans a wide range of technologies and scientific disciplines. Theses include computer software and business methods, semiconductor processing and circuits, electronic auctions, medical devices, voice over internet protocol (VoIP) communications, automobile safety seats, internet fax services, and payments and financial services products, including credit, debit and stored value cards. This breadth of experience enables Jonathan to assist clients in all facets of intellectual property, from procurement to licensing to resolving disputes.
