Michael ("Mickey") Lowitt is a real estate partner in the New York office of Gerard Fox Law. He focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Lowitt has extensive experience in real estate development, real estate finance, real estate lending, asset management, asset purchase and sales, mixed-use development and planned communities, including condominium ownership.
Prior to joining Gerard Fox Law, Mr. Lowitt managed his own practice advising lenders, builders, entrepreneurs, investors and other parties engaged in the development and management of a wide range of industrial, commercial, residential and mixed-use projects. Mr. Lowitt has counseled hotel operators, franchisees and clients in Section 1031 “like kind” exchanges. He also advises new businesses on choice of entity and corporate formation.
Mr. Lowitt has contributed to Sports Car Market Magazine’s Legal Files column, most recently in the January 2017 issue, regarding a hotel’s liability for the theft of a guest’s car. Mr. Lowitt holds a J.D. from Hofstra Law School, an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Binghamton University.
Mr. Lowitt lives in Riverside, Connecticut with his wife and 3 children.
