Jason W. Klawitter is a California attorney who specializes in real estate, business and entertainment law; as well as the resolution of disputes through the effective use of litigation or alternative dispute resolution.
Jason has over twenty-five years of experience, successfully representing clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to large publicly traded companies and major REITS.
Regardless of the fame or size of the client, the transaction or the litigation, Jason strives to effectively, efficiently and ethically address the legal and business objectives of his clients. As a mediator, Jason applies his years of “real-world” experience and extensive training to effectively and creatively resolve real estate, business and other disputes.
Jason graduated from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1994 and earned his BA, cum laude in Government from Claremont McKenna College in 1991. He earned a mediation certificate from the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine School of Law in 2014.
Jason has served three terms as the Chairman of the Real Property Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association is the founder of the SCCBA’s annual Real Estate Symposium and has served on the Board of Trustees. Jason also served as a co-chairman of the commercial leasing section of the California State Bar's Real Property Section (now, “The California Lawyers’ Associations – Real Property Section”). He is also a member of numerous professional real estate and local community groups.

Jason has spoken at numerous legal seminars with the California State Bar (now called “The California Lawyers’ Association”); at various seminars at the Santa Clara Bar Association, where he founded a yearly two day real estate seminar; before business trade groups (San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce; and, at in-house seminars at real estate related companies (Jupiter Properties, CPS, Inc., Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage, and SMS Property Management Group, Inc.)
- As a “Hollywood Kid,” Jason Klawitter was in 4 or 5 commercials and grew up playing in various Hollywood recording studios, movie edit bays, sound stages and on famous sets at Disney Studio’s “Back Lot.”
- Jason Klawitter was a disk jockey at a college “alternative-music” station (KSPC 88.7 FM, Claremont). Jason enjoys music festivals, concerts, and “discovering” new artists long before they become mainstream.
- Jason Klawitter competed in an U.S. Olympic Sailing Team qualifier regatta (Star Class); He also participated in the Rolex Big Boat Series, the Corinthian Regatta, and numerous other sailing races around the San Francisco Bay and along the Pacific Coast of California. He still loves to sail recreationally and relishes any opportunity to be out on the water.
